Rent a Date for Charity

Lisa Connell has pioneered a new and imaginative way to raise money for charity; she has set up the first online auction site, where individuals can bid against each other, either for specific items – or for a date.

Diagnosed at 28 with an inoperable brain tumour, Lisa has decided to raise 1 million pounds for brain tumour charities, including Brain Tumour Action, whilst raising awareness about brain tumours along the way.

She has established the site almost entirely single-handedly, and involved celebrity dates in order to raise the profile of the site, including Cheryl Baker, the model Orlaith McAlisatair and Corrie star Jimmi Harkishin.
